Make Your Own Beauty Products

This course will show you how to make naturally based products, tailored to your or your clients’ needs, changing the way you think about skin care and avoiding the chemicals you may be applying daily to your skin.

Over a long weekend, and using only the highest quality organic or wild crafted materials, you will learn to create a selection of beauty products such as facial scrubs, lip balms, balms or creams, massage oils and toners tailored to suit your own skin type – your own ‘signature’ range. Then take home the skills and recipes, so you can recreate your products as a permanent reminder of a unique time spent in an idyllic location.

The venue is L’Alabrena, a one-time farmhouse that has been lovingly restored and fitted out to provide teaching rooms, en-suite bedrooms, a restaurant, riverside terraces and a swimming pool.

Check-in after 2pm on day 1 and checkout before 11am on day 4.

Prices are based on single occupancy of a room.

A discount is available for two people taking the course and sharing a double en-suite room.

Itinerary 

Day 1

Arrive Friday afternoon: earlier arrivals are welcome but check-in cannot be guaranteed until after 2pm.

Spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool or explore the area; the beautiful village of Lunas, on the river Gravezon,with its lovely 17th century chateau is a 45 minute walk away.

Days 2 & 3

Depending on the strength of the sun, teaching takes place either in the purpose built conference room or on the terrace and runs from 9.30am until 5.00pm each day with a break for a light lunch.

The days are spent learning how to formulate and develop your own personal products. You will have time to refine your blends and so create something that will truly be ‘yours’, benefiting your skin and body. This will also give you the skills to reproduce your products when you return home.

Day 4 – Monday

After breakfast, guests are asked to checkout of their rooms by 11am. If the programme of courses allows, it may occasionally be possible for guests to extend their stay and explore the Herault region more closely.
